Department: Production Weld
Job Status: Full Time

Reports To: Manager- Weld
Location: Ponca City, OK
Amount of Travel Required: N/A
Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday (5:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.) and Sunday-Wednesday (7:00 p.m. – 4 p.m.)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Robot Weld position is a highly motivated and skilled technician that ensures the components produced in the robotic machine meet all specifications. The technician will set up, operate, and monitor a robotic welding system.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")
- Setting up and operating robotic weld machine.
- Loading and unloading parts.
- Monitoring the welding process.
- Inspecting weld quality.
- Adjusting robot parameters as needed.
- Performing basic troubleshooting.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in the work station.
- Must completely follow shop related safety protocol, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Successfully passes background check, pre-employment drug screening, an any pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
- In-person, predictable attendance
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent certificate
- 0-2 years of related welding experience; 2-5 yrs. Preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment not required, but highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools or ability to learn within three months.
- Basic computer skills.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES
- Basic weld inspection preferred.
- Ability to learn independently.
- Communicate and follow instructions via email and in person.
- Computer skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Daily required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel. Work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather, including typical and atypical outdoor elements and extreme cold and hot weather temperatures. Given these conditions employees are required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) (long-sleeve shirt/jeans, blasting hood, steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection, and blasting gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies. Welders are regularly required to lift heavy objects; therefore, the Welder must be able to lift 49 lbs. independently and 50 100 lbs. with a team lift.
Work hours may include or includes early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
