POSITION SUMMARY: The Vice President of Business Development at Dynamis Power Solutions will be a leader responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives, identifying new business opportunities, and fostering key partnerships to expand the company’s market presence. This leadership role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to align business development efforts with the company’s long-term goals, while managing a high-performing team to meet revenue and expansion targets. The VP will also play a crucial role in market analysis, competitive positioning, and ensuring the company’s continued growth in the energy sector.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive growth, increase market share, and expand into new regions or industries.
- Position Dynamis and its affiliates as the market leader in the power generation industry.
- Build and develop a best-in-class business development team.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including emerging markets, potential customers, and strategic partnerships to enhance the company’s portfolio.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at the highest level, including customers, industry partners, and suppliers to strengthen the company’s network and reputation.
- Negotiate and secure strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and alliances that align with the company's long-term business objectives.
- Lead and manage the business development team across multiple business lines, setting clear goals, providing mentorship, and ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance) to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to adjust business development strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities, ensuring progress toward growth targets.
- Drive sales and revenue generation by implementing innovative strategies, managing sales pipelines, and working closely with the sales team to close high-value deals.
- Present business development insights and progress updates to the CEO and executive leadership team, ensuring strategic alignment and informed decision-making.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Successfully passes background check, pre-employment drug screening, and any pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
- Valid U.S Driver’s License
- Ability to Travel
- Daily in-person, predictable attendance.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy, or a related field required, MBA highly preferred.
- Extensive experience in business development within the energy, technology, or related industries, with at least 10-15 years of proven success in driving growth and establishing strategic partnerships.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of effectively leading, mentoring, and motivating business development teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- In-depth knowledge of the energy sector, including emerging market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, particularly in power generation solutions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, build lasting relationships, and close high-value deals.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans, with a results-oriented mindset and experience in driving revenue, market expansion, and business transformation.
