.POSITION SUMMARY: The Enterprise Data Architecture Manager is responsible for leading and executing the vision and strategy for enterprise data architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals as the company scales. This role will oversee a cross-functional development team comprised of full-stack developers, data engineers, and business intelligence (BI) developers, to address all the company’s development needs. The ideal candidate will drive architectural best practices, oversee the design and implementation of scalable development, BI and analytics efforts, and ensure high-quality data and software solutions that support both operational and strategic business objectives. A key component of this role is establishing a robust data governance framework to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance, while promoting data democratization across the organization to empower business users with accessible, trustworthy data for informed decision-making. Additionally, the Enterprise Data Architecture Manager will leverage Databricks as a central platform for advanced data engineering, transformation, and analytics to enable the company’s data-driven initiatives at scale. This role also requires partnering with the broader Digital Technology group to ensure ERP implementation efforts align with the data architecture, creating synergies that optimize data flow and support the organization’s growth, analytics, and efficiency needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Enterprise Data Architecture Strategy: Develop and enforce the overall strategy for enterprise data architecture to support scalability, performance, and alignment with business objectives, while establishing governance practices that ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance.
- Leadership: Supervise a team of full stack developers, data engineers, and BI developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Act as a Scrum Master when needed, facilitating Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives) and promoting Agile best practices to improve team efficiency and deliver value iteratively.
- Data and Application Integration: Oversee the integration of disparate data sources and applications, ensuring seamless data flow, reliability, and performance across systems. Ensure integrations align with business objectives and follow data governance principles, with an emphasis on using Databricks for advanced data engineering and transformation needs.
- Data Governance and Democratization: Lead efforts to develop and implement data governance policies that ensure consistent data quality, accessibility, and security across the enterprise. Promote data democratization by implementing tools and practices that empower non-technical users to access and interpret data independently and responsibly, incorporating Databricks as a central data platform.
- Standards and Best Practices: Establish standards and best practices for software development, data management, security, and quality assurance across the enterprise. This includes adopting Agile principles for continuous improvement and collaboration, as well as leveraging Databricks for scalable and efficient data processing.
- ERP Implementation: Work closely with our Enterprise Applications team to ensure ERP initiatives are properly integrated into the data architecture and the require level of support for ERP implementation is met.
- Communication: Work closely with business leaders, product teams, and other departments to align architecture decisions with business goals and requirements and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
- Project Planning and Execution: Oversee Agile development projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality expectations. Implement Agile tracking and reporting tools to monitor progress and foster accountability, while upholding data governance and access control policies.
- Emerging Technologies: Assess and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and platforms that could enhance enterprise architecture or improve the team productivity, with a particular emphasis on data quality/observability, data governance, and data democratization tools.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Successfully pass background check.
- Possess a valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Consistent and reliable attendance.
.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
- 10 years of experience in software development, enterprise architecture, or data engineering including at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proven and demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing enterprise-level projects
- Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or DoDAF is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES:
- Business & Communication Skills:
- Strong track record in team building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to communicate architectural visions, roadmaps, and strategic priorities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders clearly and persuasively.
- Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with senior leadership, department heads, and business users to garner buy-in and ensure alignment.
- Proficiency in managing change, setting priorities, and handling multiple projects while staying flexible to evolving needs.
- Understanding of how technology decisions affect business growth and the ability to make recommendations based on ROI and impact analysis.
- Technical Expertise:
- Extensive understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Advanced knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, data warehousing, and data lake architecture. Expertise with data processing and management tools such as Apache Spark and Delta Live tables.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure models, including microservices, containerizations (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless architectures.
- Knowledge or familiarity with Oracle Fusion ERP technical frameworks preferred
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Azure SQL, MongoDB), APIs, and data integration tools (e.g., Apache Kafka).
- Knowledge of data security best practices, including experience implementing compliance standards within enterprise systems.
- Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in problem-solving with complex and fast-paced environments.
