Key Responsibilities:
Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a highly qualified Fruit Ops Forklift Operator to support the Supply Chain team to ensure the company’s goals and initiatives are met.
This role will be responsible for monitoring raw pulp systems to ensure that they are running and communicate issues to the Pulp Operator and Lead Person. Additionally, the position monitors the Quality and density of the pulp on all the lines. Must be able to operate a forklift and obtain forklift license. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Computer aptitude
- Stretching of hands, arms, back, shoulders, neck and legs is suggested
- Monitors the Quality and density of the pulp on all the lines
- Monitors raw pulp systems to ensure that they are running and communicate issues to the Pulp Operator and Lead Person. Also call electrician, or mechanic as needed when break downs occur
- Learn to fill boxes at the tetra Fillers
- Print tickets and fill out proper paperwork
- Band filled boxes and Clean and prepare boxes that are brought in for filling
- Drives forklift taking full boxes out of building and putting them on the flatbed trailer outside
- Drives forklift to take boxes off flatbed and brings them inside to be used at the box dumper. Also puts boxes in and out of the box dumper
- Drives forklift to bring empty boxes in to be cleaned and prepared to be filled at the Tetra
- Drives forklift to take trash hopper out and dump it in to trash bin next to lye tanks by the feed mill warehouse
- Keeps Pulp/Pomace area clean of fruit and debris
- Perform clean-up during production interruptions or as directed
- Leave area organized at end of shift
- Perform duties associated with pomace production
Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain forklift license
- Must maintain good housekeeping at all times
- Must demonstrate the ability use a computer
- Must be able to lift 50lbs, constant lifting of scholle lids when we are filling boxes or preparing to dump boxes with the box dumper
- Candidates must demonstrate compliance with all safety, GMP, and work rules at all times
