Key Responsibilities:
Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a highly qualified Site Ops Coordinator to support the MNY Chilled DSD team to ensure the company’s goals and initiatives are met.
This role will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating warehouse activities to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management principles, inventory control, and safety regulations. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Batching and Assigning Orders:
- Ensure timely completion of daily batching activities.
- Assign orders to pickers based on priority and workload.
- Order Modification and Completion:
- Manage out-of-stock items and maintain accurate picking logs.
- Process credits for damaged or short-coded items promptly.
- Supervisory Duties:
- Handle shift hand-offs, shutdown procedures, and conduct pre-shift meetings.
- Provide coaching and counseling to pickers on pallet build practices.
- Assess and enhance the skill set of pickers to improve efficiency.
- Maintain the pace of pallet configuration to meet productivity goals.
- Workflow Management:
- Provide feedback to supervisors on workflow and loading issues.
- Coordinate resources effectively to optimize warehouse operations.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce company safety practices, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and AIB regulations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Support the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team initiatives.
- Customer Interactions and Office Administration:
- Support office administration duties and customer interactions as needed.
- Foster a culture of diversity and inclusion among warehouse employees.
- Lead, influence, and collaborate across functions to drive results through formal and informal channels
Requirements:
- High School diploma required; bachelor’s preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Willingness to be onsite daily in Jersey City, NJ office for duration of employment
- Ability to thrive in a fast pace agile environment with limited direction and balance competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to support building strong internal and external relationships and effectively communicate your work product
- Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
- Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity
- Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions
- Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication
