What are the responsibilities and job description for the Die Setter/Press Operator (Metal) 2nd shift position at Beverlin?
Beverlin Manufacturing, a family owned, niche supplier of perforated metal tubes products and assemblies used in the global filtration, exhaust, and industrial markets is looking for a Machine Operator. We run a primary 4 Day Work Week, (Monday – Thursday) 10 hours a day, two shifts with occasional overtime as customer needs dictate. 1st shift is from 6am-4:30pm and 2nd shift is from 4pm-2am.
We offer 80 hours of paid time off upon hire, 120 hours after 1 year and competitive benefit package.
Wages are based on experience. You'll be evaluated quickly after hire and performance will dictate wage adjustments.
Job Summary:
Responsible for set-up and maintenance of precision perforation dies to support our 2nd shift perforation team. Preparing die sets for next jobs as well as tear down and cleaning dies after the completion of runs are typical tasks.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that work is being performed safely.
- Assist in setting-up jobs to run productions.
- Report press related issues.
- Prepare presses and work sites for set up using standard work.
- Prepare, install, set up, and remove dies according to set up instructions and documented standard work.
- Pre-stage jobs for the next set-up
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Attribute
- Works well in a team environment and strives for continued improvements
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic toolroom skills - Grinder, Drill Press, Mill, Lathe, Measurement tools
- Bias towards "action"
- Willingness to learn
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs infrequently
- Willingness to complete tasks required that may not be listed in expectations
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
