Opportunity for Assistant Early Education Director:
The Beverly Children's Learning Center is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and compassionate leader for our Early Learning Programs -- ages 4 weeks to kindergarten. We are conveniently located at 550 Cabot Street in Beverly, MA. BCLC is on a direct bus route, and within a mile of route 128.
The successful candidate will be someone who can inspire educators, have excellent communication and decision making skills, be able to work independently and as a member of a team, have an excellent working knowledge of the Department of Early Education Regulations, Licensing Requirements and Subsidy Regulations. The Assistant Early Education Director reports directly to the Director of Early Education and will work in close partnership with this individual to implement daily operations..
Some Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
A philosophy consistent with nature-based and emergent curriculum education
Assist in managing the daily operations of the Early Education Programs
Maintain a safe, clean and enriching educational environment
Build and maintain strong relationships with our families and participate in our Family Engagement initiatives
Build and maintain strong relationships within our community
Actively market the Early Education Programs, conduct tours and open houses with the expectation of full enrollment
Supervise and mentor staff individually and through interesting and substantive monthly staff meetings
Be an advocate for the programs and communicate effectively with our Board of Directors and our outside funders when needed
Be a strong advocate for inclusion of all children within our programs
Serve on program committees
The Early Education Programs consist of Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and PreK Programs. We are licensed for 94 children in those programs. This is a busy year-round program. This position requires a Director certification or Qualification with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Early Education Administration. A Bachelor's Degree in Early Education or related field is a must.
This is a full time year round position and is available immediately.
