ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Proper administration of all medications.
- Responsibility for the ordering and maintaining of adequate supply of medication for each resident
- Assure all treatments are accomplished with proper procedures.
- Assure that each resident's chart is kept current.
- Assure that all immunizations, records, lab work, physical exams, consultation notes, and all required forms are in place
- Participate in IDT staffing’s offering input and opinion and establishing realistic short-term and long-term goals
- Provide immediate first aid treatment to residents and employees in case of accident or injury.
- Attend necessary training and building shift change meetings as required by the supervisor/facility.
- Continuously endeavor to improve the health and welfare of each resident.
- Perform general nursing duties as required.
- Assist all other members of the nursing team.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Licensed Practical Nurse, graduate of accredited school of nursing, current and valid Illinois license, experience with the intellectually disabled preferred.
