Beverly High School is looking for a Long Term Sub Special Education Teacher to cover a Maternity Leave
The District is seeking a qualified candidate to support students in developing proficiencies across academic, social, behavioral, and vocational areas within our district life skills program. Candidate must have experience with developing IEP's and writing clear, concise, measurable IEP goals with aligned benchmarks/objectives. Candidate must have the ability to collect student data, analyze data and accurately report academic, social and behavioral progression on progress reports and within Team Meetings. This position further requires training and knowledge in working with students with ASD, including, but not limited to ABA/Discrete Trial Teaching and writing behavior plans. The candidate will be required to effectively communicate and collaborate with all staff to support the social, emotional, behavioral, academic, and vocational needs of the students within the program and insure implementation of accommodations and/or modifications across the school setting, including successful integration into the general education classrooms when appropriate. Candidate must have a working knowledge of the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework for Math, ELA and Literacy, including establishing entry points for students. Candidate must also effectively communicate with parents and outside agency providers. Candidate must have the ability to effectively work as part of a team which includes paraprofessionals, program teachers, and related therapies staff.
