Middle School Math Teacher beginning in the 2025/2026 school year
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must hold Ohio teaching license in Mathematics (4-9 or 7-12)
- Ensures the safety of students and serves as a role model;
- Willingness to teach any high school mathematics course, including introductory, intermediate, advanced, and AP courses;
- Plans instruction to meet the needs, interests, and abilities of students;
- Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and supports students’ sense of belonging;
- Specializes in differentiation of content, process, product, and environment to support student's needs;
- Willingness to collaborate with grade-level teams and department colleagues to review student data, create and revise curricula, complete curricular mapping as a team/dept, review instructional practices, and develop common assessments;
- Commitment to communicating and establishing positive relationships with families and students;
- Assesses student growth regularly and provides progress reports to families and formative feedback to students;
- Creates methods to collect data on students’ goals and objectives and collects needed data to inform students’ growth and effectiveness of their specially designed instruction;
- Self-reflective of their performance, abilities, strengths, areas of growth, and instructional practices;
- Middle school math teaching experience and commitment to a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS);
- Experience in implementing interventions targeting specific students’ needs;
- Commitment to communicating with families and establishing positive relationships with students;
- Commitment to learning and implementing restorative practices;
- Commitment to BCSD's Strategic Plan mission, vision, and values, and our Employee Code of Conduct.
