We are seeking a Senior Scientist / Principal Scientist with deep expertise in neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, to contribute to our groundbreaking R&D efforts.The JobWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Scientist / Principal Scientist to lead key research and drug discovery programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s or other neurodegenerative disease biology. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring physical presence in our state-of-the-art facilities to conduct hands-on research and collaborate directly with cross-functional teams.Lead scientific programs focused on identifying and validating new drug targets for neurodegenerative diseases.Oversee the design and execution of in vitro and in vivo studies to understand disease mechanisms, target biology, and drug response.Drive drug discovery programs using small molecules, biologics, or other therapeutic modalities from hit identification through lead optimization.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, and computational biology, to advance drug discovery projects.Apply cutting-edge techniques in neuroscience, including molecular biology, genetics, and advanced imaging to elucidate disease mechanisms and assess therapeutic approaches.Manage external collaborations with academic institutions, CROs, and industry partners.Mentor junior scientists and provide technical guidance and leadership across the research team.Stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements and contribute to the company’s overall strategy for neurodegenerative disease research.Present findings and progress to senior leadership, partners, and at scientific conferences.Preferred Education and Experience : PhD in Neuroscience, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related field with 5 years of post-doctoral and / or industry experience.Deep expertise in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, ALS, etc., with a strong track record of peer-reviewed publications.Hands-on experience with drug discovery, including target validation, lead optimization, and preclinical development.Proficiency in techniques such as cell-based assays, in vivo models, CRISPR, transcriptomics, proteomics, and imaging technologies.Proven ability to lead projects and mentor scientific teams.Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to design innovative experiments and troubleshoot complex issues.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting data to internal and external audiences.Experience managing collaborations with external research partners and CROs is a plus.Preferred Skills, Qualifications, or Technical Proficiencies : Experience with neuroinflammation, synaptic biology, or neuroimmune interactions.Familiarity with drug modalities including small molecules, antibodies, or gene therapies.Understanding of regulatory and preclinical development processes.What We Offer : Opportunity to work at the forefront of neuroscience and drug discovery.Collaborative work environment with a multidisciplinary team.Competitive compensation package including stock options.Career growth opportunities in a rapidly scaling company.Bexorg, Inc. is an equal-opportunity employer.
