JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Deltek Costpoint Accounting Management:
· Maintain and manage Deltek Costpoint financial systems, ensuring accurate setup of project structures, indirect rates, and cost pools.
· Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll transactions within Deltek Costpoint.
· Process employee expense reports
· Familiar with monthly book closing activities and bank and account reconciliation
· Prepare monthly cashflow statements and manage company cash flow
· Ensure cost accounting based on an accrual basis.
· Coordinate tax filings with outside CPA firm. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations to ensure timely payments and reporting.
Government Contract Accounting & Compliance:
· Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and DCAA regulations in all financial transactions.
· Conduct cost analysis and indirect rate calculations, ensuring proper allocation of direct and indirect costs.
· Understanding of federal travel regulations
Financial Reporting & Budgeting:
· Generate and analyze financial reports monthly, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
· Prepare budget forecasts, indirect rate proposals, and variance analyses to optimize cost efficiencies.
· Create budget forecast and generate monthly reports showing budget to actuals
Billing & Revenue Recognition:
· Prepare and process invoices following government contract types (CPFF, T&M, FFP) and agency-specific billing requirements.
· Monitor unbilled receivables and resolve any issues with contract modifications or funding limitations.
Audit & Internal Controls:
· Support DCAA, DCMA, and independent audits by preparing audit schedules and financial reconciliations.
· Maintain strong internal controls to ensure compliance with federal regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
· Work with external CPA firm to provide all the tax and accounting information needed for accurate and timely annual tax calculation and financial statement review
Cost Accounting & Financial System Optimization:
· Ensure accuracy of cost allocations, revenue recognition, and labor distribution processing within Deltek Costpoint.
· Identify and implement process improvements in financial reporting, system automation, and internal controls.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· 5 years of experience in accounting for government contracting.
· Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint (hands-on experience required).
· Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS, and DCAA compliance.
· Experience with government contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, etc.).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred:
· Experience with developing pricing strategies for federal contracts and their impact on company financials
· Experience with Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS) and indirect rate calculations.
· Familiarity with government invoice portals such as Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) or IPP.
· CPA or CGFM certification is a plus.

Pay: $160,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
