What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position at Beyond A-Z Speech Therapy Services, Inc.?

We are looking for a hardworking and dedicated SLPA to join our team and who have the courage to create change in our current society and empower lives, utilizing a compassionate care approach. As our SLPA, you will be providing primarily in-person/in-home services to children referred for early intervention services.
This is a W2 position for bilingual SLPAs (Spanish-English) with mileage reimbursement. We may also pay for indirect time/office hours as the caseload increases.
Minimum SLPA Availability for work: 10 hours
This is a great opportunity for those seeking flexible hours. You may work for 10 hours or 20 hours depending on what you like. In this job, you manage your own schedule with patients; support from office and your supervisor will be available.
Duties:
- Primarily working with early intervention population
- Provide therapy sessions to improve speech and language-literacy skills
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Travel for in-home speech services

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
- Must have At least One year experience working with children with developmental disorders/delays or children ages 0-3 (required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bilingual (Spanish/English), preferred
- Strong sense of independence and ability to problem solve issues/concerns
- Good critical thinking skills
- Has trainings or willing to complete trainings on: CPR/first aid, mandated reporter, sexual harassment prevention, blood-borne pathogens
- Driver's license and car insurance
- Professional Liability insurance
- TB test
- LiveScan
