Experience/Education Requirements
- Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
- 1 year of experience working in a geotechnical or CMT laboratory on soil, aggregate, concrete and asphalt Field or laboratory testing
- Familiar with AASHTO/ASTM/Geotechnical/CMT testing standards
- Certification that are preferred:
- ACI Field Grade 1
- ACI Compressive Strength
- Aggregates
- TTCP Soils
- HMA
- Nuclear Densometer
Required Job Skills
- Possess strong oral and writing skills to effectively communicate between project team members and clients.
- Ability to read, understand and follow ASTM/AASHTO/DOT standards
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, excel) required.
- Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with 3 or fewer tickets in the past 3 years.
- Possess the ability to perform Lab testing activities, which involves lifting heavy tools and soil/rock sample box/bucket of 40 lbs.
Physical Demands
- Physical examination required to obtain medical clearance to work may be required
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. and move 100 lbs.
- Able to work in variable outside conditions, including extreme heat or cold.
