Recreational / Developmental Coach (part-time)

PHILOSOPHY-

Our philosophy at Beyond Gymnastics is to provide a safe and caring environment for students to learn and love gymnastics. To aid in this, we teach progressive curriculum that follows USA Gymnastics standards but our students progress at their own pace. In addition, all of our classes consist of safe, structured lessons to optimize the students’ time to learn in class.

We go the extra mile to make sure our staff is up to date on their USA Gymnastics certification, background checks, all safety certifications, and extensive on the job training. All of our staff is extremely dedicated to what they do and students never have to question who their coach will be week to week.

Along with this, we host and attend events open to all students to showcase the skills they worked hard to achieve. We want to be the highlight of our students’ week and make them feel like they are a part of our Beyond Gymnastics family.
To ensure a fun and safe experience, all owners and coaches are USA Gymnastics certified and have passed the NCSI background screening.

Beyond Gymnastics will provide cutting-edge gymnastics instruction through certified staff, facility, and state-of-the-art equipment. With curriculum that is progressive and to USA Gymnastics standards, our promise is to teach a safe sport to all ages and levels.

AVAILABLE POSITION-

Beyond Gymnastics is so excited to expand into a facility that is four times the size of our current space! With a larger facility on the horizon, a larger staff is needed as we prepare to add on more classes and programs! We are seeking reliable part-time coaches who are excited to learn the sport of gymnastics safely, and spread that passion to our students. Our main hours of operation where staffing is needed is during the evenings anywhere between 3:00pm to 9:00pm Monday through Friday. Saturdays will need staffing from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Some weekday mornings and Saturday evenings will need staffed on an as needed basis for specific events. This is an entry level position, although experience is greatly preferred. Upon both an in-person and working interview, new staff receives an intensive on the job training period where the lead staff will teach you everything you will need to know to thrive as a coach here at Beyond Gymnastics! Being that there is no experience required, here are the qualities we desire in our future staff:

COACH EXPERIENCE (preferred but not required)-

· Gymnastics experience (as a coach or an athlete).

· Working with children of all ages.

· Comfortability with public speaking / great communication skills.

COACH REQUIREMENTS-

· Reliable transportation.

· Consistent hours of availability.

· Authorization to work in the US.

· Ability to stand, walk, lift, twist, and bend on a frequent basis.

· Ability to push, lift, or carry a minimum of 50lbs.

· Ability to complete all necessary certification within first 3 months of hiring date.

COACH RESPONSIBILITIES-

· Arrive 15mins before your shift to prepare/ review lesson plans and set up gym for your class.

· Lead a fun and engaging warm up with your class.

· Explain your event stations/drills to the students in your class.

· Effectively manage your group of students while spotting a station, watching over the rest of the group to maintain safety, and rotate the children throughout the stations.

· Lead and create fun conditioning games, team building activities, and more!

· Take ownership of your class, learn about your students, and track their progress week to week.

· Engage with students and parents on a daily basis.

· Partake in community events, parent’s night out, sleepovers, clinics, birthday parties, camps, and more.

· Attend scheduled training sessions to keep up to date on all spotting techniques.

Pay: $14.70 - $18.00 per hour
