Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall management of the pharmacy department, filling and dispensing of medication orders, including the proper handling, usage, and storage of drugs in the Pharmacy.
- Maintains standards set forth by the department and translates policies and procedures into daily operations.
- Responsible for acting as an information resource to patients, physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug-related information and literature.
- Provides a coordination effort, in conjunction with the medical staff and nursing, in the delivery of quality and cost-effective drug therapies to patients.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of practice.
- Monitor departmental budget and resources to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure integrated patient care and interdisciplinary communication.

Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor of Science degree from a College/School of Pharmacy required.
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
- Two (2) years hospital pharmacy experience required, or completion of Pharmacy residency program.
- Automated pharmacy dispensing, USP 797 standards for IV compounding. Clinical pharmacy practice preferred.
- IV Laminar flow hood.
- Electronic medical records experienced preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements, including Joint Commission.
