Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Corporate Accounting with a strong background in tax and fund accounting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising the accounting team, managing tax compliance, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role requires a proactive leader who can navigate applicable accounting and tax rules and help drive strategic initiatives to optimize our financial operations.

- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
- Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including filing Federal and state tax returns for the organization and its subsidiaries.
- Collaborate with internal compliance and external auditors and tax advisors to ensure adherence to applicable deadlines, regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Prepare and present financial reports and tax-related information to senior management.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to enhance financial planning.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting and tax functions.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and accounting standards that may impact the organization.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on tax and fund accounting (CPA certification strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated expertise in tax compliance and strategy for various entities, including corporations and partnerships.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Pay Range
$130k - $160k annually bonus
