Accounting Manager

We are seeking to hire a full-time Accounting Manager to serve as an integral part of our team. This is a permanent, full-time position offering an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Accounting Manager oversees financial and accounting operations while maintaining legal compliance, manages budgets and forecasts, analyzes data, supervises staff, and supports decision-making to improve the organization's financial health and stability.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for maintaining the organization's general ledger. Working under the direction of the CFO, the Accounting Manager directs and coordinates the daily activities of the accounting staff to accurately record accounting transactions; prepares financial statements, budgets and forecasts.
The primary responsibilities of the Accounting Manager are as follows:
- Provide leadership, direction and management of the Acccounting Team
- Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of the Accounting Staff such as cash reconciliations, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, payroll and debt activity
- Supervise the preparation of Financial Reports
- Assists with Cash Management and development of cash flow statements
- Planning and Analyze Cash Flow for the organization
- Assists with the budget process and monitor budget variances
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting
- Overall supervision of Payroll, Purchasing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Accounting Functions of the Finance Department
- Provides and implements recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned or required by executive team
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop and establish financial policies and procedures
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports in a timely fashion
- Strong communication skills
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting
- At least two years of experience in financial statement preparation, accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger maintenance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
