Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health services to individuals, particularly within pediatric settings. This role involves conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering both individual and group counseling. The LCSW will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations to identify psychological disorders and recommend suitable interventions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and educators, to coordinate care for patients.
- Engage in psychotherapy sessions with patients, focusing on their emotional well-being and coping strategies.
- Offer support in special education settings, working closely with children who require additional assistance.
- Implement applied behavior analysis techniques as needed for behavioral interventions.
- Provide psychopharmacology consultations in collaboration with prescribing professionals when necessary.
- Facilitate home and community care services to support patients in their natural environments.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.
- Experience in patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation is essential.
- Background in pediatrics or working within hospital settings is preferred.
- Proficiency in individual and group counseling techniques.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles is a plus.
- Familiarity with special education processes and applied behavior analysis is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required for effective interaction with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
