We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Front desk and back office Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic by providing essential administrative and clinical support. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of medical terminology, and patient service and be committed to maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Duties
- Assist with patient intake and ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain organized filing systems.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits for patients.
- Support medical billing processes by verifying insurance information and coding procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care and services offered.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow within the clinic.
- Maintain a clean and organized back office environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of patient service principles and administrative functions in a clinical environment.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other relevant software applications.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
