Position Overview : We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Associate to lead and supervise a team of Analysts in the preparation of journal entries, maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of financial statements, and federal and state income tax returns. This role is crucial for our Service Contract Reinsurance & Participation Program Management (“F&I”) Specialty Services or ERM Teams. The Manager will also take on some Senior Analyst duties for selected clients and play a key role in the Client Services Department's leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Supervision : Guide, mentor, and evaluate Analyst I, Analyst II, and Senior Analyst staff, ensuring their development and accountability.
- Team Culture : Foster a culture of open communication and teamwork to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Technical Expertise : Resolve complex accounting issues and provide technical guidance on client matters.
- Process Improvement : Identify and implement enhancements to accounting processes and procedures.
- Advisory Role : Advise staff on handling non-routine transactions and apply technical insurance accounting and tax regulations to client-specific scenarios.
- Operational Support : Perform tasks of Analysts and assist with accounting and tax work as needed.
- Confidentiality : Handle confidential client matters with discretion.
- Productivity Standards : Meet productivity and efficiency standards, including managing billable hours for assigned Analysts.
- Workflow Management : Oversee internal workflows, ensuring the mastery of in-house financial and tax software, CRM, and QuickBooks.
- Training & Development : Conduct training and development programs for Analysts, including performance reviews.
- Workflow Review : Manage and review staff workflow, conduct weekly meetings, and monitor annual client assignments.
- Problem-Solving : Collaborate with other staff to solve problems and provide technical guidance.
- Goal Setting : Establish and monitor annual goals for accounting staff to enhance professional development.
- Regulatory Compliance : Be familiar with IRS Circular 230 Regulations and the AICPA Professional Code of Conduct.
- Special Projects : Assist with special projects, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
- Client Communication : Communicate directly with external clients on various topics.
