Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OTR) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team. This position offers flexible opportunities to work in a variety of settings based on your interests and strengths. Available settings include:
- Public schools
- Charter schools
- Homes
- Daycares
- Clinic-based environments
While you are not required to work in all these settings, we are happy to tailor your caseload to match your preferences and areas of interest.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate sensory, motor, feeding, and emotional regulation needs in pediatric clients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's specific goals.
- Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, emotional regulation, and overall independence.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including parents, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to therapy.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay current with best practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
- Mentor and support fellow team members, contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Engage in family-centered care practices, involving parents and caregivers in the therapy process and providing resources and support as needed.
- Specialize in areas of interest, such as feeding therapy, sensory integration, or emotional regulation, based on individual career goals and client needs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative therapy programs, including our highly regarded feeding program.
Qualifications:
For Occupational Therapist (OTR):
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist in Delaware.
- Experience working with pediatric populations with a variety of disabilities preferred.
For Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA):
- Associate’s degree from an accredited COTA program.
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a COTA in Delaware.
- Experience working with pediatric populations with a variety of disabilities preferred.
Additional Skills for Both Roles:
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
