What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supplemental Driver - DLS position at Beyond Support Network?
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Supplemental Driver- DLS transports laborers in a comfortable, safe and timely manner to and from their designated worksite, maintains safe and clean vehicle and uses navigation and other apps (ORION) as necessary to determined best routes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- In conjunction with the Opportunity Development Manager, reviews assignment and driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
- Transport laborers to and from designated place and time
- Stay up-to-date on road conditions
- Ensure the vehicle is clean reports any vehicle maintenance issues in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Familiarity with GPS devices
- Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
- A polite and professional disposition
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Minimum: High School Diploma
- A valid NYS driver’s license
- A clean driving record
- A high school diploma
