The grant writer is responsible for securing funding through grants to support the Beyond Toxic's mission and projects.

Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities that align with the organization's environmental justice advocacy goals.
- Write compelling grant proposals, including letters of inquiry, narratives, and supporting documents.
- Collaborate with organizational leadership and program staff to gather information and develop project concepts.
- Manage the grant application process, including deadlines, submissions, and follow-ups.
- Maintain relationships with funders and serve as a liaison to funding agencies.
- Track and report on grant performance, including budget management and outcome reporting.
- Share grant narratives, write up commitments and disbursement status with staff.
- Track grants types and provide expenditure reports for funders and/or bookkeepers as required.
Additional Responsibilities
- May develop and maintain a grant management system. Prefer experience with GrantSeeker or equivalent software.
- Contribute to overall fundraising strategies and institutional giving pipelines.
- Assist with other development-related writing tasks, such as annual reports or appeal letters in collaboration with the communications team.
- Occasional weekend and after-hours work required.
- Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $53,000.00 - $59,000.00 per year
