We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Referrals/Medical Verifications Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and expertise in the medical field, with a strong understanding of insurance processes and patient portal systems. This role is crucial to ensuring seamless coordination of patient care and maintaining accurate, timely verification and referral processes.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage patient referrals to specialists and external providers.
- Conduct thorough insurance verifications to confirm patient coverage and eligibility.
- Maintain and update patient records in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize patient portals to facilitate communication and track referral and authorization processes.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and insurance companies to resolve issues or concerns.
- Ensure accurate documentation and follow-up for referrals, authorizations, and verifications.
- Collaborate with the clinical and administrative teams to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
