- Position: Cybersecurity Engineer Intern

Overview:
We are seeking an internship candidate who has entry-level computer networking, computing, and cybersecurity experience. Join our cybersecurity team for a hands-on internship experience. This position is designed for students pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field, offering a blend of real-world development projects, mentorship, and skill enhancement.
The Cybersecurity Engineering intern will be trained to independently perform the following responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity Engineering teams on performing security reviews and audits of cloud service providers to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Engage in the development and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities within our cloud infrastructure.
- Implement security controls and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data loss prevention solutions, to safeguard our environment.
- Utilize cloud service offerings to deploy virtual machines, deploy tools, and interpret security logs
- Stay up to date on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies through continuous research and professional development.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with a strong academic record.
- A solid foundation in cybersecurity principles, with coursework or project experience in database management, cybersecurity, and software engineering.
- Engagement in extracurricular activities such as peer mentoring or supplemental instruction in computer science-related courses.
- An eagerness to learn and embrace new challenges.
- A goal-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team on various projects
