Position: Handling Finished Goods
POSITION SUMMARY
Works under supervision of Warehouse Supervisor with the guidance of other members of operations, maintenance, and plant management
QUALIFICATIONS
- MUST HAVE FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE BOTH STAND UP AND SEATED
- Reading, Math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages), computer, and Leadership skills. Basic mechanical aptitude (i.e., correct use of wrenches, drivers, pliers, and lubrication techniques).
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understands and follows QMS, HACCP, & NEMS in assigned area(s). Knows line/area standards or requirements. Works efficiently in areas lacking established productivity standards. Routinely completes all specified paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicates safety and quality concerns, equipment malfunction and/or breakdown to Team Leader and/or Maintenance. Communicates within area to achieve task efficiently and works well with others. Wears correct PPE at all times, including reflective vest and an OSHA approved Hard Hat.
- Understands and follows all job, plant safety and environmental procedures, reports any unsafe conditions and spills. Safety procedures include, but are not limited to: Lockout/Tagout, personal protective equipment, hazard communications and hearing conservation.
- Participates effectively in team meetings and TPM trainings. Completes personal development objectives and individual goals.
- Knows and follows GMPs. Keep work area clean and in compliance with all housekeeping and GMP standards at all times.
- Knows and works well within the specifications of QMS, HACCP, SPC and Floor documents. Works to maintain First Time Quality for their area of control.
- Require minimal supervision, willingly works in other areas and works overtime to meet schedule. Adapts to changes as assigned.
- Able to load and unload pallets from the warehouse racking system
- Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to, covering breaks, lunches, and meetings, and cross training as needed.
