The Graphic Designer is responsible for maintaining our family of brands' messaging - both internally and externally. This includes conceptualizing, creating, designing, reviewing, updating, and maintaining the company's visual representation in all aspects of marketing. The creative talents of the individual in this role will be applied to marketing materials, digital advertising, sales documents, trade show materials, social media, vehicle wraps, web graphics and any other place branding is required. The successful candidate will be a creative, out-of-the-box thinker who strives for design excellence, enjoys challenges and supports the marketing team. The candidate also seeks to have a broader role in the business success by being involved in strategic marketing functions - and is results-driven. This role reports to the Lead Graphic Designer and Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities:
The Graphic Designer is responsible for brand storytelling by using specific style guides to ensure consistency and for developing and delivering a powerful and consistent campaign. This will be achieved by leveraging strong graphics ability with great attention to details and strategic thinking. The role also requires a strong marketing mindset where the candidate will create graphics in a very technical environment while maintaining brand standards and style for visual concepts and creative solutions for various brand marketing scenarios.
- Support multiple Family of Home Services brands in various marketing projects.
- Technical design marketing materials, brochures, flyers, posters, email headers, trade show banners, vehicle wraps and more.
- Photo editing, including color correction, background removals, resizing, etc.
- Design and create for specific social media platforms
- Coordinate with third party marketing partners (ie: agencies, print partners, promotional product suppliers)
- Have working knowledge of digital marketing campaigns (ie: email marketing, SEO/SEM)
- Create, maintain and improve web graphics.
- Maintain and organize document archives.
Requirements:
- BA/BS (minimum) degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 3-5 years of graphic design experience, preferably in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Advanced, technical knowledge of graphic design (and related) software applications including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat.
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
- Exceptional written communication, demonstrate initiative and project management skills.
- Experience in proofreading.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and deliver quality work in an efficient manner AND work as a team, think creatively and problem-solve when faced with challenges.
- Photography skills (directing, styling, shooting, editing) is a plus.
- Experience working in the home services industry is a plus.
- Experience working in franchising is a plus.
- Design portfolio required.
