Job Description
As a professional consulting firm in the A / E / C industry, BG's primary focus is based on engineering principles in designing building systems across several market sectors.
Mission
The mission of this position is to drive BG's success by producing successful projects that achieve project goals.
The primary accountability of this position is to provide production support for BG's design teams through model setup and management, drawing creation, and modeling and drafting of building systems as directed by engineering staff. The position will exercise and develop proactive communications with internal staff as well as external design team members.
Primary Collaborative Team
Operationally, this position is part of a project design team and reports to the project manager, engineers / designers, and the BIM Service Leader. This position also collaborates closely with other technical service leaders and technical experts to provide a consistent quality and delivery process to our clients.
Experience Profile
- 2 years of active use of Revit MEP, or 5 years of active use of Revit Architecture
- Thorough understanding of, and experience in, creating, setting up, and managing three-dimensional building systems models using Autodesk Revit MEP and Autodesk AutoCAD
- Experience in customer-facing discussions around delivering this service
- Experience working in teams of 3-10
- Understanding and execution of BG's BIM, drafting, and graphical standards
- Experience taking sketches or redlines from engineers or designers and translating them into a building model or drafted drawing
Key Competencies Required for this Role :
Job Requirements
Technical College degree, or demonstrable working experience, directly in the field of building systems (MEP) building information modeling and computer-aided drafting.
