What You’ll Do
- Obtain hands-on experience in the accounting and finance advisory services industry.
- Participate in our intern orientation, technical training, and development programs designed to challenge your skillset from the classroom to practical application
- Shadow team members and perform procedures on various financial statements, including cash, accounts receivable, fixed assets, other assets, and accounts payable.
- Acquire skills in various accounting software, including bookkeeping tools, fixed asset trackers, and tax preparation platforms.
- Review client financial statements and record any necessary adjustments.
- Engage directly with a variety of clients across multiple industries.
- Demonstrate your performance and ability to join MarksNelson as a full-time team member.
About You
- Completed more than two years of coursework toward a bachelor’s degree in accounting, demonstrating academic dedication and career focus.
- Passion, drive, and an eagerness to learn define you.

- Ability to commit to extended hours and occasional Saturdays during “busy season” (January through mid-April) with a strong work ethic and team-first mentality.

- Proactive self-starter, equally comfortable working independently or as part of a dynamic team.

- Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a solid understanding of standard office technology.
