Bgesh is looking for eager and dependable Dishwasher to join our team and support our soldiers at Ft. Walker, near Bowling Green, VA. This position will not handle food and will assist only with cleaning duties. These are temporary positions, beginning March 10, 2025 to April 2, 2025. Both early and late shifts available, Sunday through Saturday. You are welcome to work one or both.

Anticipated shifts are:

Early shift: 4 am - 10 am

Late shift: 2pm - 8 pm

QUALIFICATIONS:

• U.S. Citizenship: Workers performing under this contract must be US Citizens
• Previous experience preparing, handling, and serving food
• High School Diploma or Equivalent,
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a clear background in order to obtain security clearance to work on base

DUTIES:

• Maintain a clean work area/environment that includes cleaning of refrigerators/freezers, cooking equipment, and serving equipment.
• Clean and sanitize all dining room tables and chairs at the end of each meal and throughout the meal to maintain sanitation requirements
• Restock dining table items prior to each meal
• Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, kitchen, appliances, cooking surfaces, and dining areas and serving lines
• Clean all attached storage/restrooms in addition to dining hall and food preparation areas
• Clean floors upon completion of duty day meal by spot cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, damp and wet mopping
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift
• Function in a fast-paced environment, perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.
• Keep up with garbage collection and keep kitchen floors clean from excess food/trash.
• This role includes physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Adhere to the uniform policy
• Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
• Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment; duties include sweeping, moping, ware washing
• Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
• Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
• This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
• This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

SCHEDULE:

• Shifts: 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (early shift); and 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (late shift),
• Sunday thru Saturday coverage is needed
• Position type: Hourly
