Qualifications

DEGREE/EDUCATION:

• Associates Degree preferred
  
  

Experience

• 1 year relevant experience
  
  

Certifications/Licensure/Registration

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted Psychiatric Technician/ Mental Health Tech Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
  
  

Other Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship: Workers performing under this contract must be US Citizens
• Must have a clear background in order to obtain security clearance and a CAC
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Effectively use correct grammar and spelling in all written communications.
  
  

Duties

• Assist in a variety of treatment modalities including but not limited to biofeedback, stress management, and group therapy
• Provide care for patients utilizing proper infection control and safety techniques as planned and/or ordered. Document per policy and notify the mental health provider or nurse in charge of any abnormal or unusual findings in a timely manner
• Present or facilitate a variety of health and wellness programs, including stress management, suicide intervention, and smoking cessation
• Conduct various programs in support of the clinic
• Provide care to mentally ill or emotionally disturbed patients and participate in rehabilitation and treatment programs
• Perform a range of diagnostic support duties which include but is not limited to drawing blood for lab studies; collect and label specimens; take vital signs; and assist the doctor in a variety of diagnostic examinations
