What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Assistant/Cycle Counter-Hybrid/Remote position at BGIN Infrastructure?
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Assistant/Cycle Counter to join BGIN's inventory management team. This dual-role position involves assisting with general inventory tasks, while performing regular cycle counting to ensure accurate stock levels. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to maintain the integrity of our inventory data.
Travel required: up to 60%.
Location: Based out of Omaha, NE, Other Sites in US & Canada
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Cycle Counting:
- Conduct scheduled cycle counts of inventory items and document findings systematically.
- Compare physical counts to system records to identify discrepancies and report findings to management.
- Collaborate with the inventory team to investigate and resolve inventory issues promptly.
2. Inventory Management:
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records across various systems and platforms.
- Support the receiving and shipping processes by ensuring accurate documentation of inventory movements.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in identifying items that need reordering or replenishing.
- Help prepare for quarterly and annual physical inventory counts and participate in conducting the counts.
3. Data Entry and Reporting:
- Perform data entry tasks to update inventory records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Generate and maintain inventory reports as needed, providing insights into stock levels, discrepancies, and other key metrics.
4. Organizational Support:
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in storage areas and warehouses.
- Assist with labeling, sorting, and organizing inventory items for easy identification and access.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to address inventory-related questions or issues.
5. Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to company policies and safety standards related to inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills related to inventory procedures and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in supply chain management or related fields is a plus.
- Previous experience in inventory management or warehousing is preferred, but not required.
- Specific skills: Leadership capability, effective communication, Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and inventory management software/ERP software.
- Good mathematical skills and an analytical mindset for assessing inventory data.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Passport required.
Physical Qualifications
- This is a hybrid field / in-office position with travel to company facilities required.
- The role will involve occasional lifting and moving of inventory items.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time in an office setting.
- Must be able to work in hot and/or cold elements and noisy environment.
