Description
It is the Press Operators responsibility to setup, operate and maintain the flexographic printing press.
This starts with receiving a work order for production, scanning entire order for the necessary tools, materials, plates and inks for the specified product. Once the press is setup operator will run the press for the desired product amount as specified on work order. After the run is complete the cleanup of the press begins to prepare for the next work order, while maintaining the equipment to be in proper working fashion.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Setup, operate and maintain press
- Quality Control
- i.e. die and plate impressions along with die to print and print to print registrations
- Knowledge of various materials
- i.e. raw materials and laminates
- Knowledge of ink color matching
- Troubleshooting and problem solving
