BGM is looking for a Strategic Communications Manager to join the team! The ideal candidate is a self-starter, forward thinker, and detail-oriented individual with a strong strategy, public relations, and marketing background. In addition, the successful candidate must be a team player, have a positive attitude, and be a creative writer who truly loves building relationships.
Communications Strategy, Vision and Leadership:
Maintain current plans and develop new communications strategies, plans, and protocols to advance the BGM and its clients’ brand identity; enhance their profiles and reputations through strategic comms; and increase visibility.
Provide leadership, expertise, and reporting in all communications (internal and external) and collaboration with, leaders in management.
Leads in strategy manage weekly strategy meetings to ensure that BGM implements tactics and best practices to move the client forward; establishes KPIs.
Develops comprehensive strategies for PR Comms and Marketing
Works directly with leadership
Prepares quarterly strategies, weekly reports, and monthly reports
Cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with clients
Identify challenges and emerging issues faced by the organization. Please work with the leadership team and staff to recognize internal and external communications opportunities and solutions and define and execute appropriate strategies to support them.
Communications Operations
Oversee the development of team print and digital communications, including the media guide and electronic communications, including collaborating on website content and new media; manage relationships with associated vendors.
Exercise judgment to prioritize media opportunities,
Develop communications products and services that facilitate member engagement, retention, and recruitment.
Introduce best practices and refine existing processes and procedures that expand the capacity of the Strategic Communications department to proactively meet the communications-related demands of BGM and its clients’ programs and initiatives.
Maintain current and establish new measurement metrics and benchmarks for communications and external relations to improve visibility on progress and return of value to members.
Assist in budget preparation; develop budget recommendations; review expenses against budget; control budget expenditures. (Ad Buys)
Team Development/Management
Directs a communications team
Promote a high-performance culture and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality, trustworthiness, and collaboration.
Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, and conduct annual performance appraisals.
