Position Description:
We are seeking a GIS Fiber Technician to join our team.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage data in various GIS systems (e.g., ArcOnline, ArcGIS Desktop, 3-GIS WEB).
- Use survey reports, maps, drawings, and aerial photography for FTTx project design.
- Communicate lessons learned to the Engineering Manager and project team.
- Complete assignments accurately and on time, taking direction and working collaboratively with the team.
- Ensure data accuracy and quality, and adhere to schedules.
- Submit accurate timesheets for payroll.
- Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork.
- Enter data efficiently and convert old data formats to digital.
- Perform installation, replacement, and removal of fiber optic patch cables.
- Troubleshoot, test, and clean fiber optic cables and terminations.
Education and Experience:
- Relevant experience in GIS systems and fiber optics.
- Ability to handle data entry and conversion tasks effectively.
- Experience with fiber optic cable installation and maintenance preferred.
