Title: F5 Engineer
Location: Owing Mills (Fully ONSITE 5 x per week)
Contract Length: 6 months with extensions upto 2 years
Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for the configuration, installation, administration, operation, upgrade, monitoring, maintenance, and support of data centers, networks, hardware, and software for both F5 and Cisco network equipment. This position necessitates a commitment of 40 hours per week, with an on-site presence required for five days a week at the Technology Center location and other client locations in Maryland as needed. Additionally, you will be on-call 24/7 every third week for F5 support, during which you must be available within 30 minutes of receiving a support call or X-matters request.
F5 Engineer
Job Description:
- Design and Implement: Analyze, design, implement, and maintain the network F5 Load Balancer infrastructure.
- Network: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and security protocols.
- F5 Technologies: Hands-on experience with BIG-IP LTM, GTM, APM, and ASM
- Troubleshooting: Inspect data packets and TCP/IP flow in network and application flow.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain F5 BIG-IP devices and virtual editions.
- Set up and manage load balancing, SSL offloading, and caching.
- Configure traffic management policies using i-Rules and F5 TMOS.
- Implement and maintain high availability (HA) setups.
