Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst / Senior Accountant
Location: Dallas, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Salary: $105,000 - $115,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
Position Overview:
This position reports directly to the Financial Controller and offers the potential to advance to the Controller role within two years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Lead the company’s annual budgeting process and manage the monthly forecasting process.
- Perform variance analysis comparing actuals vs. budgets monthly, providing detailed reports for management.
- Analyze cost, overhead, and KPIs to drive improvements in financial performance.
- Accounting & Month-End Close:
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end close activities, including reconciliations and preparation of financial reports.
- Work with internal departments to manage inventory reconciliation and adjustments.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct variance analysis of operational results, including revenues and expenses.
- Provide quality verbal and written presentations to management.
- Special Projects & Audits:
- Participate in special project work, providing financial modeling and ad hoc reporting.
- Support the annual external audit by assisting with documentation and technical accounting research.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Collaborate with the Controller and other team members to drive process improvements and optimize financial operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required (ability to present and communicate in both languages).
- 3-5 years of blended experience in FP&A and accounting.
- Experience with cost accounting, preferably within the transportation or manufacturing industry.
- Strong background in financial reporting, variance analysis, and budgeting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficient in SAP and advanced Excel skills (data tables, pivot tables, and analytics tools).
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
