Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, and leading a team of cooks. The Sous Chef will be instrumental in delivering exceptional dining experiences while maintaining the efficiency of the kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure that all food is prepared according to recipes and standards, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Uphold strict food safety standards and sanitation practices within the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the catering team for special events and menu planning.
- Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant policies.
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting new dishes or improvements to existing offerings.
- Manage kitchen operations during peak hours, ensuring timely service without compromising quality.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Cook or Sous Chef in a restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques, restaurant management, and food service management.
- Experience in team management with the ability to lead by example and motivate staff.
- Familiarity with catering operations is a plus.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices within the dietary department.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
