Bowling Green State University seeks Learning Specialist Reporting to the Director of the Learning Commons at BGSU, the Learning Specialist is a Non-Continuing Appointment position that implements academic support services for students with learning and attention challenges such as AD/HD or specific learning differences. The position supports 25 to 30 students with one-on-one, weekly meetings that are either 30-minutes or one-hour long to review academic progress, organizational skills, and study strategies while also fostering independent learning. Additionally, the position helps connect students to academic resources such as tutoring and documents held appointments. This is a part time, 24 hours per week position and is available October 1, 2022, with the possibility of extending until May 2023.
Requirements: Bachelor or master's degree in Special Education, Education, Educational Psychology, Psychology or a related field required. 1-2 years working with students in an academic setting.
