Job Summary:
As an Estimator and Project Manager for civil and concrete projects, you will be responsible for managing all phases of construction projects, from initial cost estimation to project completion. Your role will involve coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both estimating and project management, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment for civil and concrete construction projects.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to prepare detailed estimates.
- Coordinate and manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring timely completion within budget.
- Communicate effectively with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution.
- Track project budgets, timelines, and progress, providing regular updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Handle change orders and adjust project scope as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Prepare final project documentation and close-out reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in construction estimating and project management.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, cost estimation techniques, and project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.
