Position :  Senior Data Engineer Analysis ServicesLocation :  RemoteEmployment Type :  ContractImportant :  This position is contingent upon contract award, with an expected start date of May 1, 2025.As a Sr. Data Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and developing solutions for business intelligence applications, reports, and dashboards. You will collaborate across teams to ensure robust, scalable, and secure solutions that align with organizational goals.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop analytic cubes, reporting systems, data models, and data pipelines.Model data for analytic services and build tabular / multidimensional models.Develop and manage ETL processes and integrate data from on-premises and cloud-based sources.Build scalable solutions to manage growing data volumes and user demands.Optimize data models, workflows, and queries for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.Implement security measures like role-based access control and data encryption.Troubleshoot Data Warehouse and reporting system issues by performing root cause analysis.Develop visual reports and dashboards with filters, variables, and drill-down capabilities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain technical documentation.Ensure compliance with data standards and regulations, such as HIPAA.Minimum Requirements8 years of experience designing and developing analytics solutions, including data pipelines, models, and reporting systems.Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).Proven ability to optimize performance and implement disaster recovery solutions.Proficiency in SQL and the ability to write complex queries for large datasets.Strong understanding of data services within the Microsoft Azure cloud ecosystem.Preferred QualificationsCertifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Solutions Developer, Oracle, Google).Experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, and Python.Familiarity with Data Warehouse modeling and machine learning principles.Hands-on experience with project management and Agile methodologies.Expertise in software like Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Warehouse, and ERWIN.Legal DisclaimerBH Zion is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
