Sr IT Architect

Position :  Senior IT ArchitectLocation :  RemoteEmployment Type :  ContractImportant :  This position is contingent upon contract award, with an expected start date of May 1, 2025.As an expert-level Information Technology Architect, you will lead the design and deployment of technical solutions that span applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and network systems. You will leverage your strategic thinking and technical expertise to drive innovative solutions, ensure security compliance, and guide the organization toward sustainable IT practices.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect and implement enterprise solutions, including application, data, and network systems.Design secure and scalable cloud computing architectures across AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define deployment strategies, including Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and continuous improvement plans.Develop and implement integration strategies that align business goals with IT infrastructure.Research industry trends and incorporate best practices into architectural designs.Establish disaster recovery strategies and sustainable IT architectures to meet business continuity requirements.Provide expertise in IT security architecture and ensure compliance with industry standards.Minimum Requirements10 years of experience applying enterprise-level architecture principles in applications, infrastructure, and cloud systems.Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field (Masters degree preferred).Proven experience in designing and implementing secure network and application systems.Advanced knowledge of cloud computing architecture, IT security, and application infrastructure.Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align IT solutions with business objectives.Preferred QualificationsCertifications in CISSP, TOGAF, CCNA, CEH, CISM, or similar credentials.Expertise in IT architecture design for secure, scalable, and sustainable systems.Experience with tools and platforms such as Terraform, Azure Kubernetes Service, Prisma Cloud, and NGINX.Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, Well-Architected Frameworks, and disaster recovery strategies.Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.Legal DisclaimerBH Zion is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
