Sr Security Analyst

Position :  Sr. Security AnalystLocation :  RemoteEmployment Type :  ContractImportant :  This position is contingent upon contract award, with an expected start date of May 1, 2025.As an expert-level Security Analyst, you will design and implement robust security solutions, perform vulnerability assessments, and manage incident response strategies. Your role will involve ensuring the security of cloud-based environments, integrating security into development pipelines, and staying ahead of emerging threats.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect and implement security controls across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.Secure the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and integrate application security into CI / CD pipelines.Conduct vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, and risk assessments using industry frameworks (e.g., STRIDE, MITRE ATT&CK).Perform security code reviews and use application security testing tools (DAST, SAST, etc.).Investigate security incidents and develop strategies for incident response and recovery.Monitor and analyze threats using security tools and frameworks like OWASP, SANS, and CVSS.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain security best practices and compliance.Minimum Requirements10 years of experience in information security, including penetration testing, application security, and IT auditing.Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).7-10 years in software development or IT security-related roles.5 years of experience as a Cloud Security Architect or in a similar role.Expertise in cloud computing technologies, containerized platforms, and microarchitectures.Preferred QualificationsIndustry certifications such as CompTIA Security , CISSP, or equivalent.Strong understanding of cryptography fundamentals and internet protocols (e.g., DNS, HTTP, TCP / IP).Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.Proficiency in tools such as Burp Suite, Rapid7, Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and GitHub Advanced Security.Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks like OWASP, CVE, and NIST.Legal DisclaimerBH Zion is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
