Description:Tool & Die Repair Tech
Job Summary:
The Tool & Die Repair is responsible for the daily maintenance, upkeep and repair all dies on the plant floor. Die Maintenance is required to maintain and care for the dies so that they are always in proper working condition.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform welding, grinding, operate cranes, machining, & fabrication.
- Perform machining, finishing, assembly and tuning of dies.
- Support in line tryouts or line calls of dies.
- Carry out emergency repairs if any issues arise.
- Perform die modifications for surface quality and accuracy.
- Work in a team setting.
- Log daily book entries to communicate activities, issues, and progress of die work.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience building and/or maintaining high volume casting (or stamping) dies, welding ability, and machining
- Experience in industrial maintenance and/or military experience
- Some electrical and mechanical knowledge
- Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Technical knowledge and skills in the following areas: Tool & Die, Welding, Machining
- Available to work any shift including overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma is required.
- At least 5 years of work experience in tool & die maintenance required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
