Psychotherapist, Group Private Practice

Bhava Therapy Group is a thriving, nurturing and steadily growing private group psychotherapy practice based in the New York City metro area. We have been honorably serving children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and the aging population by providing individual, couples, and family psychotherapy in a warm, supportive, and relaxed environment for over a decade. Meeting with our clients both in-person at our main office in Midtown Manhattan and online via Teletherapy, our team enjoys the flexibility to prioritize their work/life balance and self-care routines while supporting their clients well-being and growth.

We are seeking:

An individuals who are passionate about the field of mental health, who have sharp clinical skills, who craves exposure to and interest in learning eclectic psychotherapeutic approaches (more specifically somatic, experiential and relational approaches), and who are eager to become part of a welcoming, diverse and mutually supportive team of therapists and play an active role in our expanding group psychotherapy practice at our newest office location in White Plains, NY opening in June 2025.

The ideal candidate would be open to working with a wide range of diverse client populations and ages, and experience with different modalities of treatment including individual, couples, family and group therapies. This position in particular would be a hybrid - part virtual (work from home) and part in-person in our Midtown Manhattan office between Grand Central Terminal and Bryant Park. Availability on a few evenings a week is necessary, weekend availability is a plus!

Requirements:

Must have an LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, MHC-LP, LCAT or LMFT Licensure to practice, excellent clinical skills, curiosity and desire to grow in a supportive and comfortable work environment. Those with limited permits are welcome to apply and may obtain hours for licensure with us. Must have availability to hold evening and/or weekend sessions at your preferred scheduled days and times. Desire and willingness to work with children, teens, familes and/or couples is needed.

Fluency in Spanish and/or Hebrew and the ability to hold sessions in English, Spanish and/or Hebrew is a plus.

Must be able to travel to and provide in-person sessions in our White Plains, NY office location.

Main Benefits:

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual initial consultations and individual therapy sessions
• Assess patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Attend weekly individual supervision and at least one group supervision meeting a month
• Collaborate with other members of the team to enhance patient care and outcomes as needed.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training in relevant therapeutic modalities.
