The Director of Compliance will lead efforts to assess, develop, implement, and oversee compliance programs, ensuring accountability, safety and excellence across all levels of the organization.

- Experienced Compliance Leader: You bring a strong track record in health care compliance, risk management, and regulatory affairs, with at least 5 years of experience in similar and supervisory roles.

Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Compliance, you will be accountable and responsible for the following results:
1. Compliance and Regulatory Affairs (50%):
- Maintain a thorough understanding of federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including but not limited to HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and Joint Commission standards.
- Leads the organizations Policy Review Committee, ensuring all policies are developed in accordance with relevant laws, regulations and in accordance with best practices and accrediting bodies, and are reviewed on a routine basis.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments, identifying areas of non-compliance and implementing corrective actions.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely reporting and communication.
- Lead the organizations response to regulatory audits, inspections, and related surveys, including development of Corrective Action Plans (CAP), submission of, and ensuring all CAPs are met and completed in the applicable timeframes.
- Under oversight & supervision of VP, Administrative Operations, co-lead Compliance Council, reporting metrics and outcomes to the Executive Team and CEO.
- Oversee the organizations Client Grievance Procedure and direct the Client Rights Officer; acts as the organizations Privacy Officer, managing and responding to any privacy breaches or issues, ensuring compliance with privacy policies and practices; works collaboratively with the organizations Security Officer.
2. Risk Management (25%):
- Identify and assess potential risks related to compliance, clinical practices, service delivery, billing, and safety.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Oversee incident reporting systems and ensure proper investigation and resolution of incidents; report identified trends; continually improve the organizations Incident Reporting System.
- Collaborate with Safety Specialist to ensure comprehensive and up-to-date emergency management and preparedness plans are in place, ensuring alignment with standards and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety and transparency across the organization.
3. Training (15%):
- Develop and oversee training programs to educate staff on compliance requirements and safety protocols.

Ensure ongoing education and training to keep staff informed of changes in regulations and industrys best practices.
- Oversee competency assessments for the organization, ensuring compliance with The Joint Commission and continually evolving assessment activities, including skills workshops. Elevate staff competency and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
5. Management (10%):
- Provide direction to Compliance team members, ensuring alignment with the organizations mission, vision, and goals as well as to mitigate risk.
- Manage compliance and safety team professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.
- Collaborate with leaders to promote a culture of compliance and risk minimization throughout the organization.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, workshops, and meetings related to compliance and safety.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare compliance, risk management, or a related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and Joint Commission standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Proven ability to successfully lead compliance initiatives and manage regulatory audits.
