BHE GT&S has an exciting career opportunity for a Technical Trainer or Sr. Technical Trainer. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining technical subject matter expertise and understanding of current business processes. As a subject matter expert, you will act as a go-to person in specific areas of technical (operational) expertise. Your primary duties will include conducting hands-on technical training and operator qualification portions of the new hire training program. You will also work with contractors to ensure operator qualification and drug and alcohol plan compliance in a timely manner.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Some of your key responsibilities will include: Maintaining technical subject matter expertise and understanding of current business processes; Acting as a subject matter expert in specific areas of technical (operational) expertise; Conducting hands-on technical training and operator qualification portions of the new hire training program; Working with contractors to ensure operator qualification and drug and alcohol plan compliance in a timely manner; Consulting with business partners to clarify and define work procedures and processes; Developing and documenting new work procedures and processes; Monitoring regulatory changes and updates/develops training to meet standards. In addition, you must possess in-depth subject matter expertise in technical areas of instruction, a thorough understanding of business processes related to the area of instruction, knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design, proficiency in equipment operation/troubleshooting, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent personal computer skills.
