Qualifications:
- Knowledge of health insurance payers including Medicare and Medicaid
- Office Experience in a Long-Term Care Facility strongly preferred
- Medical Assistance application experience preferred
- Strong Organizational Skills
Responsibilities:
- Manages the day to day operations of the Business Office
- Meet with patients/residents upon admission and discharge to explain financial obligations
- Completing Medical Assistance applications
- Manages the resident trust funds and maintains confidential files
- Manages collections and accounts receivable
- Manage census, ancillaries, billing, adjustments, collections, write-offs, refunds, and deposits
- Handle inquiries from residents, families, and staff regarding billing and financial matters
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and regulatory financial guidelines
- Payroll and HR responsibilities
- Manage and maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
