TECHNICAL SALES CONSULTANT

Already a leader in the industrial repair market, Belzona Houston has set further ambitious growth targets. To achieve these, we need to strengthen our field sales team by recruiting an equally target driven individual to cover our territory in Texarkana, East Texas, Houston, and North Louisiana.

Our Technical Sales Consultants are knowledgeable; customer service oriented and trained to instruct the client’s personnel on the proper application techniques. The position will be based “on-territory” from your home although you will work closely with the head office team located in Alvin, TX. You will hold responsibility for:

  • Achieving sales and profitable growth by developing and expanding sales to existing customers in identified and targeted industry sectors.
  • Growing the territory customer base and achieving growth from opening new accounts in targeted industry sectors.
  • Growing the territory business through building excellent relationships with end-user clients, contractors and other specialist routes to market.
  • Developing relationships at all levels of our client organizations.
  • Maintaining accurate information and customer records. Experience of using laptop computer and other technology for customer records, reporting procedures and client presentations will be a distinct advantage.
  • Working within a clearly defined Territory Business Plan that integrates fully with plans at Regional and National level.

The successful candidates will sell a range of high-quality products and systems for the repair and maintenance of industrial and commercial facilities. Typical key targets and clients would include:

  • Manufacturing and Process Industries including oil & gas, pulp & paper, water utilities, power generation, power distribution
  • General Industry such as Oil & Gas, Refining and Chemical Processing.
  • Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Hospitals, Schools/Universities etc.

The position will be territory-based working from home, and will involve calling on specifiers, end users and contractors, creating and developing ongoing commercial relationships with contacts such as Engineers, Maintenance Managers, Operation Managers, Architects, Health and Safety Officers, Environmental Engineers etc.

Another key objective of the role will be to provide a full service to all potential customers including inspection and diagnosis of problems and the recommendation of the appropriate Belzona solution. This will include on site product application training and supervision for customers’ own maintenance teams. It will also include the onsite supervision of Contractors and customer contractor liaison.

The successful candidate MUST have:

  • Experience in business development.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills linked to well-developed communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to operate with individuality and flair in a structured, professional environment that makes full use of IT-reliant reporting and product information systems.
  • Relevant Industrial and/or Facilities Maintenance experience, combined with a demonstrable track record of success in B2B selling. Specific experience gained in a technically oriented solution driven setting would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas or Power industries would be a distinct advantage.

Pay: $39,668.00 - $115,166.00 per year
